On Wednesday we emerged from our blog hybernation and got out and shot a much needed post. It was definitely a case of quality over quantity. As to tell you the truth we didn't see copious amounts of people we wanted to take photos of. But the people we found were pretty cool.

This girl had indie rocker written all over her and reminded me a bit of La Roux. She was raising money for 'Save The Kids'. Good Job.

Layer upon carefully picked layer. Simply the perfect winter outfit.

This gentleman was thirteen days into the 21 Challenge. He read Bea and I a poem in very charismatic fashion. I thought he seemed like a pretty interesting guy and it was all for a good cause.

Due to finding a lack of interesting people in the city we took the short trip to Brunswick St in hope of finding better things. While taking a stroll down Old Bruni I ran into a friend from Uni who introduced me to this girl. Her dress seemed very summery beneath her winter layers. Very nice.

A very nice button, on a very nice coat.

Really the whole worlds open to you now.

About a week ago on a very rainy, very average Melbourne day I spent sometime with Rachel from www.meetmeonthestreets.com. Despite the weather we found some cool people hanging around uni. It has been so cold lately but i'm enjoying watching everyone rug up. I have an abundance of warm wooly op shop jumpers that have all been getting their work out of late.
M.
The man who looks his best. Loved how sharp this guy looked. The dymocks bag just topped it off, good to see someone supporting the book stores.

Nothing like the classic rockstar look.

Whenever I take snaps around campus, you usually strike up conversation with someone on are you going to class? And what do you study? And so on. Usually you can pick it before they answer but I was way off with this girl. I think she ended up studying commerce or advertising. Nice coat.

get your coat out mate!

Well the mornings are officially getting colder and there's not a sunny day in sight on the weather report. However it's not all doom and gloom, colder weather means more excuses to grab coffees and stay in bed longer. And of course time to get your warm layers out of hibernation. It's not even winter yet and i've seen so many cool jackets, coats and cosy jumpers. Time to rug up and show the world your winter collection!
M.
This is Jaz and I have class with her. No one ever lets me take their photo at uni, which is unfortunate because there's lots of stylish people. However this time I managed to get a few shots of her.
M.
This dudes jumper reminded me lots of the ones everyone buys in India and South America. Good shit.

Good to see the young fellas working the college Jackets.

I spotted this girl just opposite from where i was standing near the State Library. What stood out to me the most about her outfit was her colour. In such a dreary landscape, I thought she made the most of her winter wardrobe by standing out and having some fun. It's definitely inspired me to put aside all my black coats and have a look in Savers for some brighter jumpers and pull-overs!

Michael saw this girl from a mile off and quickly told me to chase after her. I soon saw what caught his eye- her amazing 'wooly' jacket. It was a freezing day out and I was envious of how warm she looked. Shows that warmth and comfort can still prevail while having an awesome style at the same time.

As you can probably tell, this photo wasn't taken when Michael and I shot the rest. It was probably taken two weeks ago now when we luckily came across a sunny day. This girl was walking up to Flinders Street station and I immediately had to ask her for her photo. Not only do I have an obsession with high-waisted long, black skirts, her shirt was just adorable too! Even though she was in a rush, it was lovely of her to quickly stop and let me grab a few shots of her.

I was walking to the train station after class today when I stopped at the lights. While waiting I noticed this girl waiting for the green light too and had one of those do I, don't I moments. I'm glad I did though and she was very nice. The green coats a nice touch.

See You Later Summer!

Well summer may have officially ended ages ago, but I think the unofficial end has now surpassed us as well. The warm summer days now seem to be out numbered by the cooler less vibrant kind. However this isn't necessarily a bad thing. The winter wardrobe can now be awaken from its hibernation and with it many wonderful outfits. The question is, what new styles and contradictions will this winter bring.
P.S. Yes I know it's only autumn, but shit, lets get exited.
M.
This girl was struggling along with several huge folios, bags and papers rolls when she caught my eye. Her sunny's were great and matches her blacks very well. I think nearly every person I have stopped around campus seems to be studying fashion design. I suppose that is much of a surprise.

It's interesting that in the last year Michael and I have refined what we like to see in people, and often we have differing views. When we saw this guy however it was a consensus, we love his look. Particularly his blue socks!

Having hung around at RMIT for a while it was time for me to tram back up the road to Melbourne Uni. On my way I spied this guy from across the road and as he stopped i ran across and asked him for his photo. He's an artist and was just heading back to his studio after having been interstate. I just loved everything about his look, especially the fact that he wasn't trying- rather it was just what he felt the most comfortable in after a long trip.

On my return to Melbourne Uni I ventured through crowds of people in the North Court due to the Union's Tuesday BBQ. This girl caught my eye as she was wearing what I love at the moment- a shirt (that could be a men's shirt), some kickin' maroon jeans and heavy boots. I would label this a 'tom boy' look and she pulled it off perfectly! She was also happy enough for me to one- interrupt her conversation and two- find the ideal location. It was a pleasure meeting and taking her photo!

One of the best social events at Melbourne Uni for students commuting would have to be the Union BBQ every Tuesday from 1pm. In my first year of uni I would enjoy my break from classes with a sausage and free beer. This year, my last, they have upped the anti by bringing in wonderful artists to play. A few weeks back Washington played and this week was Owl Eyes. I loved they're music and was disappointed I only got to see one song. With bands like The Vasco Era coming up later in the semester, it's definitely a weekly event not to be missed if you're in the area!

My endeavour for the best bike and person combo has continued. Still without any personal success, i'm still enjoying seeing cool people riding their two wheeled machines. This dudes socks and shorts matched his bike. The spectacular fine details of style.
